Frequently asked questions
Do I need to download or install anything?
No. The game runs right in the browser: open the page and play. Nothing is installed, on desktop or on phone.
Do I need an account, and what does it cost?
You can play with no sign-up, and every game here is free: no entry fee, no purchases inside. Signing in with Telegram matters only for the shared leaderboard — it puts your name on the result. Your personal best is kept by the browser either way.
What is there to play?
Three games so far. Sun Defense — a tower defense built on the numbers from Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era. Highway 101 — a top-down zombie shooter about escaping a town. Digger 101 — a mine arcade: dig deeper, haul the ore up and upgrade the tool.
Do the games work on a phone?
Yes, in an ordinary mobile browser on Android and iPhone — the controls are touch. In Sun Defense you place a troop with a tap and drag it with a finger, in Highway 101 you steer Casey with your finger, and Digger 101 has on-screen arrows.
Are records saved?
Your personal best for each game is kept by the browser and shown next to the score. The shared board lives on the server: it scores a run as you play, so a finished number cannot be posted to it. Places on the board belong to members of the paradrew101 community.
Where do these games come from, and will there be more?
They are written for this site, around what gets played on stream — the troop stats in Sun Defense, for instance, come straight out of the Olden Era data. The section keeps growing: new games show up right here.
Are these Flash games? Do I need Flash Player?
No. Browsers switched Flash off back in 2020, and old Flash games no longer run anywhere. These are written from scratch on what a browser can do on its own — Chrome, Safari, Firefox and mobile browsers alike, with no plugin and nothing to install.
What can I play in ten minutes?
A game of Sun Defense takes about ten minutes, and so does a descent in Digger 101: both end on their own, with nothing to come back to. Highway 101 is longer — a run to the highway takes about half an hour — but the outfit and the perk you earn stay with you for good.
