GTA 6 on PC: when is it coming

Straight to it: on November 19, 2026 GTA 6 launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. There is no PC version at launch — Rockstar has confirmed the platforms more than once, and PC is absent from the pre-order page too.
When to expect the PC port
There is no official announcement, so the only honest way to estimate is to look at how Rockstar has behaved before:

The pattern is not subtle: consoles collect the full launch take first, then an improved PC version arrives and the game sells all over again. With GTA 5 that worked so well there is no reason on earth to change it.
A realistic window for the GTA 6 PC version is late 2027 to 2028. That is extrapolation, not an inside line; the moment there’s an official announcement I’ll break it down in a news issue and update this page.
System requirements
A hugely popular search that the entire internet answers with made-up tables. The honest answer: there are no official GTA 6 system requirements, because there is no announced PC version.
The only thing the console hardware tells us is that the game is built around an SSD and the performance level of a PS5 / Xbox Series X — which means that by the time the PC version lands, a comfortable baseline will be noticeably beefier than the “recommended” specs for RDR 2.
What PC players should do right now
Three options: buy a console for launch, wait a year or two for the port, or watch someone else play it. I recommend the third, obviously — I’ll be playing through GTA 6 live from launch day, so follow below if you don’t want to miss it.
