GTA 6 playlist: where to listen

Updated:

I keep the GTA VI music in a single playlist and mirror it across five services, so that nobody has to install one more app just for it. The only differences are which service opens for you and, in places, what that service actually has in its catalogue: the Russian services hold no rights to a number of Western songs, so VK Music and Yandex Music are each missing about ten tracks. The full list always lives on the GTA 6 music page.

Play the whole playlist

The same list on five services — open it in whichever one you already use.

Which service to use

The playlist is the same everywhere; availability is not. A short note on what opens where, so you do not click through for nothing.

  • Yandex Music

    opens in Russia

Works in Russia with no workarounds: accounts can be created and subscriptions paid with a Russian card. The place to start if you are listening from Russia.

  • VK Music

    opens in Russia

Opens as it is too. Handy if you listen inside VK rather than in a separate music app.

  • YouTube

    no subscription needed

The one option that needs nothing at all — no subscription, no account. It plays official audio from rightsholder channels, so the playlist will not rot from takedowns. Stable access from Russia is not something I can promise on YouTube’s behalf; that part is out of our hands.

  • Spotify

    not available in Russia

The Russian Spotify service has been shut since April 2022 — no subscriptions there. The link is here for everyone listening from elsewhere.

  • Apple Music

    not available in Russia

On 1 April 2026 Apple switched off payments in Russia: an existing subscription no longer renews. The playlist is visible through the link, but playing it in full needs an active subscription.

What is in it

Only checked tracks go in: songs from official Rockstar footage, singles from the official album, and tracks identified in leaked gameplay by at least two independent write-ups, or by me from the footage itself. Disputed ones stay in the registry with a flag but never make the playlist.

  • 26 official: footage and album
  • 27 identified in leaks
  • 4 disputed — kept out

How it gets updated

On events rather than on a schedule. GTA VI music has exactly three of them, and two are already behind us.

27 August — the Extended Look. Twenty-six minutes of gameplay with fourteen licensed songs in them: Depeche Mode, Def Leppard, Prefab Sprout, Phil Collins, Kodak Black, Sexyy Red and on down the list. All fourteen are in the playlist. Cliff Richard’s “Devil Woman” and “Pound Town” moved from “identified in the leaks” to “officially in the game” the same day — until the showcase both carried a caveat.

The rush that night was not for nothing: Tom Petty gained roughly 37,000 % in plays after the first trailer, The Pointer Sisters 182,000 % after the second. That is how demand behaves around Rockstar footage — everyone goes looking for the lead song within the same day.

17 September — the official album announcement. Rockstar and Atlantic Records revealed Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album — 34 original tracks, out on 19 November — and released six singles the same day: Yung Lean with Future and Metro Boomin, Travis Scott, CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso with PinkPantheress and Fred again.., Morgan Wallen, Rauw Alejandro and Keith Richards. All six are already in the registry and in the YouTube playlist; the other services follow.

19 November — release day. The album itself comes out, and Rockstar normally reveals the full station and track line-up then, and the playlist stops being a reconstruction from trailers and leaks and becomes an ordinary soundtrack.

In between it still grows, quietly: whenever the community identifies another track from the leaked gameplay and two independent write-ups agree on the title — or when I identify a track in the footage myself. That is how The Weeknd’s “Wanderlust” from the NINE1NINE club, Bad Company’s “Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy” and a few others arrived in September.

One song on that list is a find you will not see anywhere else. In the same club clip where every write-up heard only “Wanderlust”, there is “Precious Little Diamond” — the Dutch band Fox the Fox, 1984. I identified it myself: Shazam, plus the lyrics picked out by ear. RockstarINTEL, Beebom and VGTimes do not have it — and if Rockstar’s own soundtrack ever confirms it, you read it here first.

If none of the services work for you

That happens: no subscription, no wish to install anything, no VPN. For that case every identified track plays directly on the GTA 6 music page through official YouTube audio — no subscription, no installs. That page also holds what the playlist leaves out by design: disputed identifications with a breakdown of where the sources disagree, and the fifteen radio stations from the leaked radio menu.

The playlist is for listening. The registry is for working out what is actually in the game. Same job, two pages.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I open the GTA 6 playlist?

On five services at once — Yandex Music, VK Music, YouTube, Spotify and Apple Music. The buttons are at the top of this page, so pick whichever you already use. The YouTube player is embedded right here if you would rather not leave the page — and it needs no subscription at all.

Does Spotify work in Russia?

The Russian Spotify service has been shut since April 2022: subscriptions cannot be created or paid for there. The Spotify link on this page is for everyone listening from elsewhere. From Russia, Yandex Music and VK Music open as they are and carry almost the same list — minus about ten Western songs the Russian services hold no rights to.

Why does an Apple Music subscription not renew in Russia?

Apple switched off payments in Russia on 1 April 2026. An existing subscription no longer renews and a new one cannot be paid for. The playlist itself stays visible through the link, but playing it in full needs an active subscription.

What is in the GTA 6 playlist?

Songs from official Rockstar footage — including all fourteen licensed tracks from the 27 August Extended Look — the six singles from the official Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, plus tracks identified in the August gameplay leak by at least two independent write-ups — or by me from the footage itself, with Shazam and the lyrics picked out by ear. Disputed identifications are deliberately left out of the playlist: they stay in the track registry with a flag explaining where the sources disagree.

Do I need a subscription to listen to the GTA 6 music?

No. On the GTA 6 music page every identified track plays right in the list through official YouTube audio, with no subscription at all. The service playlists are simply more convenient for background listening or for saving the music to your own library.

When does the playlist get updated?

On events, not on a schedule. Two have already happened: after the Extended Look on 27 August 2026 the fourteen licensed tracks from that footage went into the playlist, and on 17 September so did the six singles from the official Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album. The third is 19 November, release day: the album itself comes out, and Rockstar reveals the full soundtrack and the complete station line-up. In between the list grows in small steps, on tracks the community identifies in the leaked gameplay.
