GTA 6 collectibles and secrets: why there are no lists yet

Updated:

There is no list of GTA 6 collectibles. The game launches on November 19, 2026, nobody has a playable build, and Rockstar has not said a word about collectibles, stashes or secrets — not in the trailers or the extended look; the closed previews added a single line — treasure underwater — more on it below. Everything sold today as “all the secrets of GTA 6” is invented or retells the leak — and an internal name from a work file is not a collectible in a finished game.

The search is honest — in Rockstar games the hunt is half of life after the credits — so the page goes up early.

Why there is no list, and cannot be one

A collectible is an object inside a finished game: until that game reaches discs and servers, nobody could have found it. The leak produced footage, a map screenshot and a service file — data, not a game — and much of what work files name gets changed or cut before release.

The tell: a “GTA 6 secrets guide” with coordinates, names and a total, dated before November 19, is fiction. A site that wants your PlayStation or Xbox login to “unlock everything” is after the account — the “cheat generators” scheme again.

How Rockstar does it — by precedent

What follows is about the studio’s past games, not GTA 6: none of it has been promised for the new one.

  • Every big game has an optional layer. Items scattered across the world — hidden packages in the old GTAs, treasure maps and legendary animals in Red Dead Redemption 2 — with a reward for the full set: money, a weapon, something you cannot get otherwise.
  • Some is tied to the story, some is pure exploration. Certain finds open chapter by chapter, and a few close for good if you move on — hence the “do this before chapter X” warnings in any walkthrough. Others sit on the map from the first hour.
  • The game keeps score itself. The completion percentage is tallied from a set of tasks, and only the finished game knows which finds count.
  • The community draws the maps. Full maps appear in the first weeks after launch, built by players themselves, and the first versions are usually incomplete.

No “how many” figures here, deliberately: from memory they get mangled.

What is officially known about the world

The map’s size, its ratios to GTA 5 and RDR 2 and every region of Leonida are on the map page. What matters for a hunt comes from the mechanics already shown:

  • Animals — wild and at the zoo — go into a checklist. A development of the RDR 2 idea, and the clearest of the officially shown things that resemble a collectible.
  • Underwater there are sunken ships and treasure. That is how the closed previews retold it; whether the treasure is a find with a reward or set dressing was not specified.
  • The focus mechanic highlights objects around you — noticing things in the world is built in.
  • Every shop and salon has its own stock — already a reason to drive the whole state.
  • Side content bleeds into the main line and leads turn up on their own — the border between “side” and story is blurred on purpose.

Which of this grows into a collectible system, we find out on November 19; on a full-set reward, or on what counts as a find at all, the studio has said nothing.

Spoilers, and when to start

Honestly: some of Rockstar’s collectibles are tied to the story, and any full list gives away places and chapters. So for most people the hunt starts after the credits, and that is fine — the roughly 80 hours the head of development mentioned include the optional content. In the first weeks, playing beats googling. Spoilers get the walkthrough’s split: story under headings with a warning, the rest clean.

What lands here on November 19

On launch day I will fill this page in: which types of collectibles the game has, how each works and what it gives, where to start and what not to miss. The lists themselves — what lies where — live on the wiki at 100gta6.com, not here: the hub explains, the wiki holds the points, and each type here will link there.

Until then, the useful prep is for the day itself — what to download early and how much space to clear.

Frequently asked questions

Where are all the secrets and collectibles in GTA 6?

Nowhere yet: the game launches on November 19, 2026, nobody has a playable build, and no list of collectibles exists. Any "all GTA 6 secrets" guide with coordinates and names dated before launch is invented or retells the leak. After launch the lists themselves will live on the wiki at 100gta6.com; this page explains what the collectibles are and how the hunt works.

Does GTA 6 have collectibles?

Rockstar has said nothing about collectibles. The clearest officially shown thing that resembles one is the animal checklist: creatures you meet in the wild and at the zoo get logged, as in Red Dead Redemption 2. The closed previews added one more line — sunken ships and treasure underwater — with no details. Every big Rockstar game has had a layer of optional finds with a reward for the full set, but that is precedent from past games, not an announcement.

Will GTA 6 have legendary animals like RDR 2?

Unknown. Legendary animals are a Red Dead Redemption 2 mechanic, and nobody has promised it for GTA 6. What is official is an animal checklist that logs creatures you meet in the wild and at the zoo. Whether it turns into a hunt with rewards or stays a collection of entries will only be visible in the game.

What do you get for 100% completion in GTA 6?

Nothing has been announced — neither what counts towards 100% nor what the reward is. In past Rockstar games the percentage was tallied from a set of tasks and collectibles, and the full set unlocked something you could not get any other way — but none of that has been stated for GTA 6. I'll check in the game and fill this page in on November 19.
